Nancy Bommelman, Minot Wouldn’t it be nice to audit the City of Minot’s books just to see where all the money is going? Look around the city....

I have also seen the city's budget on line. It is there to see.

However, the number of houses that remain flood damaged, some beyond repair, is an embarrassment to the city and something needs to be done now.

It's a shame nothing gets done and all of the money that the city receives is used for other expenditures and not spent to help citizens resolve issues with flood damaged homes.

The City of Minot clearly needs to get down to the business of offering flood victims some real relief.

They've dropped the ball.

You can't expect any help from the State of North Dakota, they're too busy counting the money that comes in at a rate of approximately 10 million dollars each day from oil extraction tax revenues and that takes up all of their time which means the state doesn't have time to pay attention to people who might have a few needs that need to be met.

Far be it from the State of North Dakota to actually address the needs of its citizens.

Money counts, not people.
