yup, just look at what a fine job the dems are doing in washington. ND voters did remember that dems bring back more pork from DC than repubs, so i guess that's one reason heidi was elected. ND likes to pretend to be independent, but we seem to be right at the front of the pack begging for fed (OPM) tax dollars most of the time.

Let me see, the dems have done a fine job in Washington?? History shows that the current economic problems were a "direct" result of Republican led decisions that were extremely bad for the economy and for the US in the long term. So, with the change of administrations, one would expect a change. Since our congress is also a part of this activity, nothing happened. Why, one would ask? Well, the Republican Senate has had over four hundred filibusters/clotures and other stalling tactics. This total is more than the total of all filibusters in the History of the US. The US House is considered to be the worst in the history of the US. They have passed 39 bills to overturn the HEalth care bill but have failed to bring one jobs bill to the floor for debate. The Bakken was coming to ND no matter who was in office. The Republicans did nothing to bring it here and they would rather pass anti abortion bills than take care of their own people from impacts from the Bakken.

Oh, and the jobs bill was passed in the Senate for infrastructure and a million plus jobs. It was held in the house by Republicans without even allowing a floor debate. Oh, and where did that farm bill disappear to? Without even a floor debate.

Was North Dakota's population dying?? Gee when small town sports teams have 5 names of towns on their uniforms.....does it take a genius to figure out our state was dwindling. Why do you see so many license plates from our of state? Duh it's because we can't even staff our own state! Since the 70s graduating high school seniors have been fleeing this state for better jobs.

"Since the 70s graduating high school seniors have been fleeing this state" but not necessarily and not only for better jobs.

I can now agree with the statement. Apologies for the edit.
