Thank you for your concern Rep. Glasshein...I too am concerned about your health so please provide the following so that I know with certainty you are both physically and mentally up for the job:

List of medications you are on and why/what for.

Daily caloric intake with specifics within the 4 food groups.

Number of bowel movements per day understanding that six is normal.

History of sexual activity as well as number of times engaged in risky behaviour.

Record of vaccinations and boosters.

Percent of body fat and physical excersize routine schedule.

Understand that I am concerned and therefore I must ask so that I will know. It's for your own good.

I will go with the additional cigarette tax on one condition, by the way I am not a smoker but am tired of these anti-smoking communists that think they can run everybody.

Here is my condition: A tax will be collected for every pound overweight someone is based on a doctor's note stating what the individual's ideal body weight is. Like this- Ideal weight is 180 but man weighs 205 resulting in 25 pounds of taxable weight. Taxes paid are say $.10 per pound, resulting in this man paying $2.50 in tax to pay for State healthcare that I am paying for right now and yes we ALL pay for it, even if we aren't overweight, sound familiar? Now does anyone see how stupid this is getting?

No matter how much tax you put on cigarettes it is not going to reduce the number of smokers. It is up to the individual whether or not they want to quit or can quit. My old man forced me to quit in the 5th grade! Cold Turkey! Very Cold Turkey! :-) Never ever smoked again!

The assault on alledged poor health activities is done under the guise of increased health care costs to the masses. Let's cut to the chase and tax those who 'abuse' the health system directly. Things like ER visits for sore finger from writing, (I am NOT kidding), running to the doctor for every sniffle, etc. On one hand the government pushes for check-ups, tests, etc etc and on the other hand say we are spending too much for health care. As for the smoke tax, they need mor money to fund the CHIPS. The solution? Get the government out of health care, period. why didn't add 75% tax to alcohol to reduce drunk driving?

I had a relative who never smoked his entire life. He died of lung cancer.

Mr. Glassheim wants the apply the old adage 'the beatings will continue until the morale improves' with his tax proposal.

It ain't gonna work.

Why not sue tobacco farmers? Put them out of business. Why not? Like Obama wants to do with coal.

I feel I cannot take it anymore that people die of secondhand smoke....I feel I would rather they die at the hand of government....a government that needs to protect itself from it's citizenry, the people that operate under the guise of "protecting liberties"....
