JayBird: "So go kiss my...."

What an enlightened comment.

So collegial! So friendly!

That's reaching across the aisle, isn't it?

JayBird, I can't believe you'd waste time on us ND plebeians, when the NW has so much more scope for imagination.

Doesn't the schtick fly anymore in your hometown?

NEWS FLASH:

Message for the "Party of Losers!"

"How my G.O.P. destroyed the U.S. economy." Yes, that is exactly what David Stockman, President Ronald Reagan's director of the Office of Management and Budget, wrote in a recent New York Times op-ed piece, "Four Deformations of the Apocalypse."

JayBird, I know (rather, I feel) that your schtick hasn't schtuck around for very long before.

But give it all another go. I feel that you're really trying.

I think that depends, JayBird.

Remember, schtick is in the eye of the beholder.

JaByrd: Christy and Powell belong in the Democrat Party. I like that you're claiming them. Saves us the trouble of throwing them out. And while you're hauling away the dead weight, why don't you come and collect Boehner? He'll fit right in with the power brokers on the left. He just likes the seat. He doesn't really stand for anything.

Oh, you mean like Sybil, right?

I read the book about Sybil when younger, and I watched the movie with Sally Field. Then I found out Sybil's DID was a hoax, perpetrated by her psychiatrist. Turns out the psychiatrist "suggested" stuff to her impressionable patient (Sybil).

So are you psychiatrist today, Veritas? Or something else?

The NRA's solution is to place armed guards in all of the nations 98,817 public schools. How do they expect to pay the $2,964,510,000 in extra wages for all of those guards if you figure one guard per school at an annual salary of $30,00?

I know, how about a $1000 per gun tax retroactively allocated by hunting down all gun owners and making them register all of their guns and a $100 per box of shells tax?

"Personally if I had been on the plane I would have been willing to take a few cuts from a box knife to lead the 150 fellow gun nut cowards on the plane to over power and disarm a few box cutters to save my life and theirs."

Wow what fantastic presence of mind you would have had! I wonder why no one on those planes thought of that. Did you come up with that all by yourself? How many years did it take? Well, you've convinced me. I wish you had been aboard, you know... to stop the bad guys.

"I say, When ND quits receiving $1.68 for every $1.00 paid in Federal taxes paid, people like Sicky can quit with the welfare garbage statements about the poor. Until then I suggest you just sit back and enjoy your free gifts along with Jack."

Uh, I'm part of the half that does pay federal income tax. You might also be, someday, possibly.

The terrorists had box cutters and were able to commandeer several jets and bring down the Twin Towers.

"Guns? What guns? We don't need no stinking guns." said the terrorists.

Gun control will not solve anything, a useless pursuit that will breed an overnight black market, which already exists, it'll just become huge.

And could the research thingy on Veritas' computer handle the words "top contributors to Democrat Party caucus members?"

Maybe we can't know that, but somehow it doesn't seem strange that Veritas' post wouldn't include this particular information.

It's useless. The government is right, they're always right, and you should really just relinquish your right to bear arms and surrender your arms.

Might as well wave a white flag now and let the gov tell you what to do and when to do it.

Like they're going to do anyway. Resistance is futile. It'll all work out for the best... for the gov.

Got an IRA? They're going to come for that too.

Got anything worth having, besides your guns? Well, they're going to go after that too.

They're completely broke and you are in the cross hairs.

The time to speak up has passed, now is the time for senseless bickering.

"We don't give massive tax gifts to the rich then freak out and assign blame to the poor when we have revenue problems. WE PAY OUR BILLS!"

But you do give massive tax gifts to the poor. About half don't pay federal income tax. Th result is twofold-first, creating the illusion that the democratic party, dominated by old money political interest, care about the poor. the second result is the creation of a dependant class.

Don't get me wrong, republicans aren't any better. They just don't brag about the fact that their attempts at redistribution, or sell it as being the Christian thing to do, as opposed to the "progressive" thing to do.

FLat tax. I could give a*****less if you're poor or not. And you're not. Not like Sub-Saharan Africa or south america.

Well there we go. There's the progressive thought process in action. If you live in New York, and you're sane and felony-free, the state legislature and governor have seen fit to allow you to keep some of your firearms - at least the ones the political elite feel it's safe for the masses to own.

Congratulations governor Cuomo! "This unfortunately required tragedies and loss of life to actually spur the political process to action"

"Unfortunately", my arse! What a lying sack of duty! Cuomo, is part of that huge faction on the left that was waiting for the next Sandy Hook to happen - foaming at the mouth with Pavlovian zeal in utter anticipation of the kind of political capital it would buy.

Veritas, the only victim I resemble is a victim of political shenanigans. And if there was a VoPS support group, it'd be large enough to include the entire population of the USA, excepting DC insiders and hyperpartisan types, as they wouldn't see the need.

I'm just notice things and speculate about how they relate. Perhaps that's how your victim analogy surfaced, by noticing and speculating, huh?

If you tried, you could try thinking outside the partisan box once in a while, out in the fresh ND winter air, because

"On a clear day, you can see forever..."
