The war on coal won't stop

January 8, 2013

It would be nice to expect that Environmental Protection Agency head Lisa Jackson’s resignation means relief for coal country. It does not, sadly....

I think if it was up to Obama, all we would have is nuclear energy, and that is NOT a safe option. He seems to want to shut down anything that promotes jobs.

What is wrong with shutting down dirty ineffecient electrical generating plants and replacing them with newer and cleaner effecient electrical generating plants? You create jobs shutting down the old and create jobs building the new and running the new ones. If it wasn't for the EPA we wouldn't even be able to see the blue sky or drink clean water!

Sounds like a bunch of old pig plants that would have been closed anyway. They will just build new plants that can meet the mercury standards, write off the expense and make a profit in the end. Plus, it will surely reduce the low IQ rampant in the south as is evident by the regressive thinking (they do realize that they lost the Civil War 150 years ago don‘t they?). I also find it doubtful that any natural gas plant has any mercury pollution at all. Smoke and Mirrors.

The CO2 produced by burning coal has value when injected deep underground to enhance production of aging oil wells.

Wonder if her replacement will use fake names for e-mails to hide the EPA agenda or if the office will be all transparent and forecoming in all their dealings? Was was her fake name? Richard Windsor or some such thing? Over 12,000 hidden e-mails?
