FISHING Lake Sakakawea elevation, Oct. 8, 1,825.6 feet above mean sea level: N.D. Game AND Fish Dept. District Game Wardens: Van Hook Arm and New Town remain somewhat slow on Lake Sakakawea with better success around White Earth Bay. Bismarck, Dakota Tackle, Missouri River / Area Lakes: Limited activity on Lake Sakakawea and the Missouri River. Bottineau, Four Seasons, Lake Metigoshe: Fair to good for walleyes with continued northern pike success. Bottineau, Lake Metigoshe State Park, Lake Metigoshe: Fall colors winding down. Lake Metigoshe producing good numbers of small walleye with a few 15- to 18-pound northern pike taken. No bluegill reports. Coleharbor, Totten Trail Restaurant, Lakes Audubon and Sakakawea: Limited activity with few reports. Devils Lake, Ed’s Bait, Devils Lake: Continued fair to good for walleye along the bridges in the morning or evening. Devils Lake, Woodland Resort, Devils Lake: Continued walleye success, including shore-fishing along the bridges.
