Minot: Festival of the Parks

The annual Festival of the Parks in Roosevelt Park, Minot, July 4 features various activities, beginning with breakfast 7 to 11 a.m. Other activities include: an all-faiths church service at 9:15 a.m.; the zoo opens at 10 a.m.; Exchange Club ice cream social from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Minot City Band concert at 11 a.m.; Patriotic program at noon; swimming pool and water slides open from noon to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; childrenás game at 1 p.m.; Ken Klaudt concert at 1:15 p.m.; Dakota Dixie concert at 2:15 p.m.; GreenMan concert at 3:15 p.m.; and arts and crafts displays and sales all day. Admission to the festival is $1 for a button, which can be obtained at Minot businesses or at the gate on the day of the festival.
