"Officer Peach" gets his man; lawyers have no sense of humor
February 18, 2013 - Andrea Johnson
An English cop had some fun at the expense of the prosecutors last week when they asked for a police report from "PC Peach."
According to the Daily Mail, PC Peach is a police dog, but the lawyer apparently thought he must be a human cop. PC Mark Tissington, the handler at the West Midlands Police Station, happily obliged and wrote up the following police report for the 4-year-old Alsatian: "I chase him. I bite him. Bad man. He tasty. Good boy. Good boy, Peach." The witness statement was signed with a paw print.
The cop pinned the "witness statement" on the station bulletin board for everyone to chuckle at. Unfortunately, one of them enjoyed it so much that he took a picture of it and posted it on a police humor website. Another cop at another UK police station enjoyed it so much that he reposted it on Twitter.
The lawyers were not amused at being the butt of the joke. They have complained. Tissington is facing an investigation by the internal discipline unit. He referred himself and is probably not going to be reprimanded.
To that, all I can say is: "Bad crown prosecutor. Bad boy."
Give Officer Peach a big, juicy bone and his handler a box of doughnuts.
