
| | Minot product Adams headed to Orange BowlDecember 5, 2012 - Staff BlogFormer Minot High standout Dustin Adams may have redshirted this season, but the 6-foot-3, 306-pound lineman will be on the sidelines of a significant bowl. The 2012 MHS graduate is a freshman at Northern Illinois, which recently locked up a bid to one of the five coveted BCS games. The 15th-ranked Huskies face No. 12 Florida State in the Orange Bowl. Adams, who originally committed to Hawaii, decommited when the Warriors had a coaching change. He opted for NIU soon after where his position coach Rod Carey worked at the University of North Dakota just two years ago. NIU head coach Dave Doeren was recently named the head man at North Carolina State. He led his team to an 12-1 record and a MAC title this season.
