Baby bison Cindy born at zoo

Submitted Photo Cindy, a baby bison born at Roosevelt Park Zoo in Minot on Monday, is the zoo’s newest resident. The lead keeper on the North Trail, Ryan Pederson, caught these photos of the bison calf. Cindy Lou is named for longtime staff member Cindy Palen. A retired teacher, Palen has worked at the zoo for 10 years or so just because she loves it. Another bison calf is expected to be born shortly.
