Karen Weber/MDN A fire early Friday morning caused extensive damage at Vallely Sport and Marine, 2125 Elk Drive in Minot. Minot Fire Department Battalion Chief Lonnie Sather said the fire started in the shop area at the business and was called in by a passerby at 2:45 a.m. Firefighters had put out the main fire by 7:30 a.m. but were still battling spot fires at the structure until 3 p.m. Friday. Sather said no one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation. – Andrea Johnson
