ND Highway Patrol promotes two

BISMARCK – Col. Michael Gerhart of the North Dakota Highway Patrol announced the promotion and reassignment of Lt. Thomas Iverson and Sgt. Michael Roark.

Iverson was promoted to the rank of captain and will serve as the support services division commander in Bismarck. Iverson began his career with the NDHP in 2004. After graduating from the academy, he was a traffic trooper in Bismarck. He was promoted to sergeant in 2010 and lieutenant in 2012. Iverson earned a bachelor’s degree from Jamestown College and a masters in management degree from the University of Mary. He is a 2016 graduate of Northwestern University Traffic Institute School of Police Staff and Command.

Roark was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and serves as the safety and education officer in Bismarck. He began his career with the NDHP in 2008. After graduating from the academy, he was a traffic trooper in Kenmare. He was promoted to sergeant in 2014. Roark earned a bachelor’s degree from Minot State University.
